Biography
Sanam Assil is an associate in Tannenbaum Helpern's Real Estate and Construction Law practice. Sanam drafts, reviews and negotiates a wide array of construction contracts for owners, developers, landlords, tenants, contractors and professionals. Specifically, Sanam drafts and negotiates contracts involving design professionals, consultants, vendors, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, architects, interior designers, design architects, engineers, non-disclosure agreements, purchase orders and license agreements with adjoining property owners. Sanam has extensive experience in accounting for payment, costs, deliverables, materials, equipment, services, performance, delays, insurance, construction, defects, suspension, termination and guidance for how disputes will be resolved.
Prior to joining the firm, Sanam worked at a boutique law firm, representing developers for an array of contract drafting and was regularly called upon to advise clients regarding risk assessment and risk transfer strategies, appropriate insurance coverage, and additional insured and indemnity obligations. Furthermore, she managed bond filing process firm-wide for liens filed on clients’ properties; and supported litigation efforts on behalf of owner/developer in claims involving disputes between construction manager’s and its subcontractors’ defective work.
